Land of Bali - Part 1

Before March 2014 Bali, I had also Bali-ed last Oct 2013, so that was about 6 months away.  Maybe that's why I didn't feel excited before the trip. The last sprint was day before when I had to wrap up the things that I am working on and also type multiple emails to keep pple informed of w-h-a-t-e-v-e-r I am doing. But I wonder whether the late night email was even read twice.

I thank myself for having this bit of kiasuism or whatever you call it, I packed my luggage the night before my trip. That night was the calm before the storm.

The next morning I woke up close to 9am, keeping bits and pieces, and realised there's nothing to eat in the house. So I dragged my hub to go get breakfast. 950am, I was strolling at my house downstairs on my way to get brekkie. So we were just talking halfway, he said I never bothered to check the flight time, da de da, so I said ok fine I check now.

I was scrolling through all the pics, found the flight pic and zoomed. TO MY HORROR, that I found out our flight is at 12.05pm!!!!!!! After calling Nic to confirm, both of us ran home like sonic the hedgehog.

Flight time: 12.05pm
Last check-in time: 11.05am
Reached airport: 10.40am

So you see, it’s not so bad after all, I made it! Perhaps that’s what I say cause I made it, if I didn’t it will be IT WAS SO F****D UP! N then you know what my hub said? Maybe it’s better this way, you don’t have to spend so much time preparing before stepping out of the house.
Checked in. Ate. Boarded. Flight got delayed.

Something I realised about travelling to other neighbouring countries was - you always have to wait so long to get through Immigration before getting out of the airport. We waited at least 1 hour, to me the queue felt like 400m. Each time I travel, I always appreciate the efficiency of Singapore’s Immigration. I can’t wait to get out of the airport after passing through the 400m mark, who knows, there’s another 50m- the clearing of custom. By the time we finally reached the exit, it must had been 2 hours. I supposed that’s how long our driver waited.
Bought Sim card and coffee before getting in our Villa transfer.

15mins was all it took for us to reach our Villa. All of us got fooled by the pictures when we saw the Villa appeared right before our eyes.

Upstairs Balcony
Swimming Pool -Tangkap place
Daybed
Bedroom 4

As you can see, there is 3 living rooms (2 below and 1 upstairs), 4 bedrooms with 3 washrooms, 1 balcony, 1 dining area, 1 bar counter, 1 day bed, 1 porch area which can be used to BBQ and 1 swimming pool. HUGE OR WHAT?! Ok I am not complaining about the Villa, it's about 15mins drive to Kuta. Just that when you reached the Villa, you feel, my expression on the right.

So the building looks like the above, in the middle squeezed with other buildings. Beside the Villa is a house! (Source: Internet)

Look out for other parts if you want to know my Bali stories.
